On 22nd December 1984, Fr L M Pinto Health Centre was inaugurated by Rt Rev Dr Basil S D’Souza, the then Bishop of the Diocese of Mangalore. Its management was given to the care of the Sisters of the Little Flower of Bethany. From that day, sisters of Bethany Convent, Badyar render their dedicated services to this hospital. In the 24th june 2011, it was made a separate Trust, namely Fr L M Pinto Health Centre Charitable Trust.

Sr Prem Latha BS is the present Administrator of this Health Centre and Sr Jyothsna BS the assistant Administrator and Nursing Superintendent. The sisters serve with commitment the sick and the infirmed and share the compassionate love of Jesus, the Healer. Six Bethany Sisters and fifty nine lay staff are serving at Fr L M Pinto Health Centre.
